Mantis UK Limited sells Mantis products in the United Kingdom and Eire.
2a. Payment Terms
All orders are accepted on the basis of cash with order. Once the order has been accepted and processed by us, a receipted invoice will be sent to you in the post. This is both your receipt and also confirmation of despatch of the goods. If your order is not received by you within seven days of receipt of the invoice, please contact us to advise the non-delivery during our normal working hours.
2b. Pricing Policy
All our prices are quoted in British Pounds Sterling and include VAT at the rate ruling at the time, currently 20% (effective the 4st of January 2011). All products offered for sale are brand new, unless clearly stated otherwise. Prices for export customers outside the UK are available on request. Please contact our office for details.
2c. Credit Card Payments
We accept payment by credit card (Visa, Mastercard) or Debit Card (Switch, Delta). We do not currently accept Diners Club or American Express Cards. Card payments will be processed prior to orders being despatched and we will do our best to ensure payment is not taken in advance where we are clearly aware that an order cannot be completed ( No available stock) for an extended period.
2d. Order Confirmation
An email acknowledgement will automatically be sent to you, confirming the details of your order. This will be sent to the email address entered as part of the order entry.
2e. Postage and Packing
Postage and Packing is Free to UK mainland addresses for main products
If parts alone are ordered, a flat postage fee of 2.95 will be charged. Postage fee will be waived if parts are ordered with other main products.
For orders placed for delivery outside the UK Mainland, please place the order and note the delivery address. If the cost of the Postage and Packing is in excess of our standard offer, we will contact you to obtain your authority to charge the cost of the additional postage costs prior to processing your order.
Obviously we aim to process your order as soon as possible after receipt, therefore we strongly recommend that if you change you mind and decide to cancel or alter an order, that you do so as soon as possible. For orders that are not cancelled prior to the goods being despatched to you, it will be your responsibility to return the ordered goods at your cost. We would strongly recommend that if this need arises, that you use an insured carrier service.
3a. Product Delivery
It is our aim to deliver all items ordered as soon as possible once the order has been processed. Outside our main season we would try to deliver your order within 5 working days of receipt of order. In our busier periods we would advise that you allow 10 days (excluding Public Holidays) from date of order before contacting us for an update.
3b. Product Availability
All advertised products are shown subject to availability, where stock is unavailable for more than 10 working days, we will notify you by email of the expected delay before delivery can be completed.
3c. Product Descriptions
We will endeavour to maintain all product details on the site up to date and accurate, but the company does reserve the right to change the specification of the products advertised.
4. Trial Period / Money Back Guarantee
We offer a 365 day risk free trial on all mail order sales of Mantis products. You will therefore have plenty of time to test your machine, if you are not completely satisfied, return the Mantis tiller / cultivator and / or any of its attachments that have been purchased from us, in their original packaging for a full refund of your purchase price. All we ask is that the machine is returned within 365 days of initial receipt and that you pay the return postage. We would recommend that you use an insured service to return the machine to us.
The Mantis Tiller and its attachments are built to last. The patented steel tines are guaranteed for LIFE against breakage. Should a tine break in normal use, just return it to us and we'll send you a replacement.
All other parts of the Mantis tiller are guaranteed for five years from the original date of purchase. Should a part fail due to a material or manufacturing defect, we will repair or replace it free of charge.
5b. After Sales Back Up
The company operates a service workshop that is dedicated to the repair of equipment supplied by us. The workshop engineer can be contacted by post at our normal office address, by telephone or fax, by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. All product repairs are carried out within the company, with all costs being advised to the customer before any work or expense is incurred. We have been repairing our customers Tillers for twenty years and expect to return your repaired machine back to you within ten working days.
6a. Updating your Details
Our database of enquirers and customers is constantly being updated, If your details change please notify us and we will amend your record accordingly.
6b. How we protect your data
We take great care of our computer records and take all reasonable steps to ensure its security within our organisation. All order details given are processed by our secure web server. We only retain on our system, those details about you that are relevant to our business needs.
6c. Data Protection and your privacy
We are committed to protecting your privacy, and will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998).
We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service.
The information that is supplied by you, may be used in the future to send you information about products and services that we think may be of interest to you. If you notify us on the customer details section of your order form, then your details will not be passed to third party companies. You will therefore only receive future mailings from this company.
The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.
The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy, the law and the Which? Web Trader Code.
